Accounts, projects & the shape library

Create a free cncfoam.com account to save named projects and sync settings, then browse, like, comment on, remix and publish shapes in the community library.

You can use the simulator without an account, but signing in unlocks saving, syncing and the community library.

Accounts

Create a free account with email verification. Signing in lets you save named projects, and your tool settings sync to your profile so the editor looks the same on every device. There is a standard forgot-password flow and a per-account profile page showing your projects and published shapes.

Projects

The 💾 Projects button (when signed in) saves and loads named projects — your loaded shape plus all the settings — so you can come back to a design later or keep several variants.

The shape library

The Shape library is a gallery of community shapes you can filter by category and by kinematics (2/3/4/5-axis). Each shape has:

  • a 3D preview and cut info (material, block size, cut time),
  • a ❤ like counter and comments (you can attach an "I made it" photo),
  • Load in tool to open and cut it, Download source, and 🍴 Fork & remix.

Publishing

Hit 📤 Publish in the tool to share your current cut to the library. It is tagged with the kinematics it needs (so 3/5-axis cuts are marked as such), and a rendered preview of the carved result is generated automatically. Uploads enter a moderation queue before going public. You can also upload SVG/DXF/G-code directly via the upload form.

Forking & remixing

Fork & remix opens a published shape in the tool as a new draft. When you publish your version, it credits the original with a "Forked from…" badge — so good designs can evolve while keeping attribution.

Image uploads (previews and comment photos) are automatically converted to efficient WebP and resized, so the gallery stays fast.
