Three setups that work, simplest first:
1. Open window + fan blowing fumes out: fine for occasional small jobs. What I did for the first year.
2. Cardboard / plywood hood + flexible ducting + bathroom-fan-grade extractor: ~€40 of parts, exhausts to outdoors. Good for daily use.
3. Proper fume extractor with HEPA + activated carbon: €200+. For people cutting hours per day or working in a room next to where they sleep.
Don't skip ventilation. EPS fumes are mostly styrene, which the WHO classifies as "possibly carcinogenic." Not acute danger but cumulative.
