Tool crashed mid-job during streaming — now what?

asked by arcadist · 2026-03-14
If you were streaming via USB / Wi-Fi and the connection dropped, the controller may have stopped mid-cut. Worst case: the wire stayed hot in one position and melted a divot. Always-have-a-finger-on-the-PSU-switch is the hobby-cutter rule.

To resume: figure out which G-code line was last sent (the streamer shows progress), edit the .gcode file to start from a slightly earlier line, jog the wire back to that position, restart the stream. Not pretty. Auto-resume via line-number tracking is a future feature.
