Why is my cut wavy/jaggedy instead of smooth?

Usually one of:

1. Wire tension is too low. The wire bows on direction changes. Add a spring or increase your clamping force.
2. Feedrate is too high for the foam. Wire drags through, gouges. Slow down 20%.
3. SVG was imported with low curve resolution. In the tool's Settings → Samples (res), bump from 256 to 512 or 1024 — more sample points along curves means smoother G-code.
4. Mechanical: backlash in the belts. Snug the idlers.
