Why does cncfoam.com only emit G1 moves and never rapid G0?

Because a hot-wire cutter has no safe 'rapid' — the wire is always hot and always in or near the foam, so a fast G0 positioning move would race the wire cold-or-hot through material and gouge it. To prevent that, cncfoam.com emits only controlled G1 moves at your set feedrate, including the approach and the return home.

This guarantees the wire never travels faster than you intended and never makes an uncontrolled dash across the work. It is a deliberate safety and quality choice: every millimetre the wire travels is at a known speed. If you hand-edit a file, do not 'optimise' approaches into G0 — keep them G1 so the wire stays predictable.
